Haiti Training 4/4/2014

This meeting is very important! Not only will be going over what Shots/Medicine you need but we will also be going over the Packing List! Which is super super important. Can't miss this meeting! Also if you have been praying about Haiti, this Friday is the cut off for committing or not committing to this trip! Sorry to speed it up but we have to set the team in stone and get training! I know that this blessed me as I read it because you will see that we must have the drive to carry out our calling. A lot of this prep time for Haiti seems like mundane/busy work that needs to get done but we must have the drive to accomplish the prep stuff to live out our calling when we are in Haiti! Haiti Training 1 - Passports & Fundraising

• Open in worship (Mica) & Prayer
• Before jumping right in, talk about how everything we do outwardly must first start inwardly
• We must first start training "inwardly"
• I strongly recommend/kind of require that you all listen to the "Identification" Audio Teachings at www.traveltheroad.com/blog

• These are great teachings and I can't recommend them enough. Such foundational and biblical truth on who you are in Christ. Not only is this vital for Haiti and prepping to serve but will absolutely change your life. So... please listen to all 5 over the next 4 months.
• Fundraising
•             Get creative! (crafts, recycling, etc.)
•             Support Letters are huge! Send them to friends, family, neighbors, anyone
•             Garage Sales - sell things you don't need or use anymore!
•             Create a facebook page or blog... make it more about the journey!
•             Gofundme.com
•             Save money! Take a break from shopping/eating out/coffee out
• Support Letters
• Read one of my old ones, one of my new ones
• Talk about putting pictures in it, making it engaging, talk about what the Lord has been up to in your life!
• Make it all about Jesus!
• Talk about Prayer & Financial Support
• Ask them to be apart of the journey
• Be persistent! Use social media as an outlet
• Questions, Suggestions, etc.
• Prayer!
